Pennsylvania’s finicky weather often means delayed or canceled plans. A sudden thunderstorm or bitter temperatures can turn an hour or two of outdoor fun at your pup’s favorite dog park into an indoor play session in the living room. Indoor dog parks, though, allow your dog the space to play and socialize with other dogs, often in a climate-controlled environment. While not yet as popular as traditional outdoor dog parks, there are several indoor dog parks in Pennsylvania worth checking out.

1. The Indoor Dog Park – Cranberry Township

Boasting 20,000 square feet, The Indoor Dog Park offers a ton of fun for dogs. Its menu of amenities includes a separate area for small dogs, agility equipment, toys, water for the pups, an indoor dog pool with clean towels and a professional dryer, and Wi-Fi and benches. The popular dog park also has a private room you can reserve for your dog’s birthday party and other special occasions.

You must apply for membership, but you’ll schedule an orientation session first. Once your dog passes the temperament test, you can join The Indoor Dog Park. Membership fees, which are month-to-month, depend on how many dogs you have.

The members-only facility is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. All members receive a key fob, so you can bring your pup to the dog park any time of the day or night. The Indoor Dog Park also offers private training to both members and non-members. Members receive a discount on the personalized training.

2. Stay and Play Indoor Dog Park LLC – New Castle

Editor’s Note: Unfortunately, Stay and Play Indoor Dog Park announced its permanent closure as of April 30, 2026.

Let your pup run and play any time of the day or night at Stay and Play Indoor Dog Park, a 9,000-square-foot facility that features a separate play area for small dogs. Small dogs, who are comfortable, can play in the space with large dogs, too, but large dogs are not allowed in the small dog area.

Consider taking a walking tour of the indoor dog park in Pennsylvania before scheduling a temperament test, which is required, for your dog. Monthly membership fees depend on how many dogs you have and include a key fob, 24/7 access to the indoor dog park, and discounts on services including grooming and training.

Stay and Play Indoor Dog Park hosts special events, such as pup and child birthday parties, and offers doggie daycare. You can also have your dog groomed onsite at Grand Paws Pet Salon. All additional events/services have a separate cost. Check out the onsite retail space at the indoor dog park, too, which features products from local small businesses.

3. Lucky Paws Resort – Freedom

Enjoy a day of play at Lucky Paws Resort, which bills itself as having the “Pittsburgh Area’s only indoor & outdoor dog park.” While the dog park near Pittsburgh welcomes dogs all year, the pool is only open seasonally. You must request a private visit to the dog park during the fall and winter. During the summer, you can attend an open public session or, if you prefer, register for a private session.

While the pool’s opening depends on the weather, it usually opens during the spring rather than on a specific date. The pool measures four feet at its deepest corner.

You must fill out an online form to request a private visit. Before your first visit, spend a few minutes reading the rules, including vaccination requirements, of the dog park. Single day passes are available, or you can purchase an annual outdoor park and swimming pass.

Lucky Paws Resort also has a hotel, doggy daycare, dog training, and a salon and spa.

Address: Lucky Paws Resort, 2273 Lovi Rd, Freedom, PA 15042

4. Soggie Doggie – Watsontown

With an indoor pool exclusively for dogs, Soggie Doggie offers private swims, buddy swims for more than one dog, group swims, and swim classes. Puppies, who are at least four months old, can join the tadpole swim class, which features four one-hour lessons for a set fee. Frog classes are offered for puppies six months and older.

Private swims are available in 30, 45, and 60-minute sessions and allow your dog to have the pool to himself while you watch from the sidelines or the observation deck. If your dog is hesitant in the water, you can also sign up for a coach-assisted private swim.

After your dog’s time in the pool, use the warm-water rinse station and, if the weather permits, watch him run and play in the half-acre fenced-in space outdoors.

All dogs, who must be at least six months except for the tadpole class, must pass a swimming assessment before their first session.

Soggie Doggie, located on a 100-acre farm, also hosts classes. Find upcoming classes on the Soggie Doggie Facebook page.

Address: Soggie Doggie, 1710 Vincent Ave, Watsontown, PA 17777

These four indoor dog parks in Pennsylvania offer a fun alternative to traditional outdoor dog parks. Always read the rules of the dog park before signing up for a session.
