Embark on an action-packed adventure at Jellystone Park in Quarryville, one of the best pet-friendly seasonal campgrounds in Pennsylvania. Pets are welcome in select cabins and RVs. If you opt for a pet-friendly cabin, your pup must be crated when you’re not at home and on a leash when you’re out exploring the wooded paths at Jellystone.
Before heading out for a day of fun in the campground, take your pooch to the dog park to run around, play with other pups, and burn off energy completing the obstacles. Jellystone features several pet-friendly activities, including hiking trails, walking paths, and a fishing pond.
While your pet rests in your RV or cabin, cool down in the swimming pool, relax in the hot tub, or frolic in the water playground. Or check out other Jellystone attractions – laser tag, jumping pillows, gem mining, disc golf, and the old-fashioned arcade.

2. Forest Ridge – Marienville
Allow your stress to melt away with a stay at Forest Ridge Cabins and Campgrounds, a dog-friendly destination just three miles from Allegheny National Forest. Choose from one of four dog-friendly cabins, park your RV, or pitch a tent. The year-round campground in Marienville even has a dog park where your pup can play with other pooches or run after a tossed Frisbee or tennis ball. If you feel like relaxing, grab a seat at one of the picnic tables and watch your pup play.

The pet-friendly camping resort allows up to two pets in select cottages and cabins with a $10 per night per pet fee (as of January 2026). Or you can opt to park your RV or pitch a tent.
Drummer Boy Camping Resort features such amenities as a pool, mini golf, basketball and volleyball, a playground, and laundry facilities. If you’re up for exploring, the campground is less than three miles from downtown Gettysburg, where you’ll find such well-known attractions as Gettysburg National Military Park and the Jennie Wade House. Slip on your pup’s leash and head for a scenic hike at Pine Grove Furnace State Park or Michaux State Forest, too.

4. Hersheypark Camping Resort – Hummelstown

Slide into an RV spot for a pet-friendly camping adventure at Hersheypark Camping Resort. Although the resort offers tent camping and cabin rentals, pets are only permitted in RVs. They are not allowed in any buildings on the property. Choose from a full or a partial hookup. Full hookups feature electric, water, sewer, and cable while partial hookups provide electric, water, and cable. Both types of RV sites come with a fire ring with a grate and a picnic table.
Make sure your RV has working A/C and do not keep your pet outdoors when you head out to explore. A shuttle will whisk you from the camping resort and take you to Hersheypark for a day of old-fashioned fun. Park your RV or gaze at the starry sky before retreating to your tent at Rustic Acres RV Resort & Campground, which allows up to three dogs, cats, and other “household pets.” You must check in with management to register your pets and follow the campground’s pet policy, including keeping your pets on a leash and not leaving them unintended outside your tent or RV.
The campground offers a full menu of amenities, such as free Wi-Fi, a wading creek, playgrounds for the kiddos, disc golf, and a camp store. Spend quiet afternoons with your pets hiking one of the campground trails, or visit nearby Cook Forest State Park, about a 20-minute drive from the resort.

6. Keen Lake Camping & Cottage Resort – Waymart

Whether you enjoy roughing it by pitching a tent or prefer all of the comforts of home in a cozy cottage, Keen Lake Camping & Cottage Resort has just the right place to fall asleep after a day outdoors. Choose from such pet-friendly options as tent camping, parking your RV, renting a cottage, or reserving a glamping tent. A maximum of two pets, unless you have management’s permission, are allowed in pet-friendly accommodations. However, only one pet is permitted in the glamping tents.
Promising some of the best pet-friendly lake camping in Pennsylvania, Keen Lake Camping & Cottage Resort has a dog-friendly beach, where your pup can play, swim, and catch a Frisbee in the lake. When you’re not hanging out with your pooch on the beach, check out some of the resort’s many amenities (not all allow pets). Go row boating, kayaking, or fishing, shoot hoops, or play old-fashioned games in the game room.

7. Canyon Country Campground – Wellsboro
Just a mile from Pine Creek Gorge, affectionately known as the Grand Canyon of Pennsylvania, Canyon Country Campground will whisk you away from the noise of daily life. Open seasonally from mid-April through the end of October, the wooded, pet-friendly campground features RV sites, tent camping, and several cabins and such amenities as a barrel sauna, a camp store, a laundry room, and a game room.
When you’re not chilling at the campground, head to nearby Leonard Harrison State Park or Colton Point State Park for sensational views of Pine Creek Gorge.
Canyon Country Campground has a $50 per pet per stay fee for cabins, a $30 per pet per stay fee for campsites, and a two pet maximum. While the pet-friendly campground in Pennsylvania allows what it calls common household pets, such as dogs and cats, some breeds, including pit bull terriers, German shepherds, and Rottweilers, are not permitted. You must also check in with your pets at the campground office when you arrive.

8. Gettysburg/Battlefield KOA Holiday – Gettysburg
After a long day of soaking up history or ghost hunting in nearby Gettysburg, retreat to your home-away-from-home at Gettysburg/Battlefield KOA Holiday, one of the best pet-friendly campgrounds in Pennsylvania. Only five miles from downtown Gettysburg, the campground provides a laidback home base for the whole family, including pets, who have their own playground to socialize and have fun. You’ll find everything you need at the campground, too, to ensure a relaxing stay. 9. Echo Valley Cottages – East Stroudsburg
Tucked in the Pocono Mountains, Echo Valley Cottages offer an idyllic launching point for exploration. Treat the whole family to an old-fashioned camping adventure at Campers Paradise, a wooded campground that welcomes up to three pets, depending on where you camp. The campground boasts a full menu of amenities, including free Wi-Fi, showers, a waste station, fire rings, and a dining hall. Stop by the Cabin Café for a tasty meal or stock up on essentials or souvenirs at the Outpost Store.
Campers Paradise allows what it calls “non-aggressive” pets, who must be checked in at the camp office when you arrive. If you are staying in a tent or RV, you may bring up to three pets while two pets are permitted in the select pet-friendly primitive cabins. When you’re not exploring nearby Allegheny National Forest or Cook Forest, let your dog socialize and run free at the camp’s dog park.
